Digital Carnival

I am a designer. I am a liberal. I am a female. I am an explorer. When we give ourselves different titles, we are identifying as a group of belongings,  despite disliking external labels. Social media amplifies this, turning self-concept into aggression, with individuals fighting for their opinions. External evaluations shape our self-perception, leading to internalised labels and bias.

Digital Carnival is a publication explores how labels limit thinking and incite division. By archiving social media debates and experimenting with typography, it visualises the transformation of positive self-identification into ideological conflict, urging viewers to reconsider online behaviours and group conformity. Through this, we examine the impact of labels on our interactions and thought processes.
